Flood relief

There has been so much going on in central Indiana this week that it's almost overwhelming. Our hearts go out to our neighbors who experienced the entire range of damaging winds, hail, torrential rain and now flooding.

Here are some relief efforts underway:

The public can make donations in front of Duke Energy’s offices on 1000 E. Main St. in Plainfield from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday (the 13th of June)

Indianapolis' College Park Church is working with the Midwest Food Bank to aid its satellite church in Columbus through relief packages, said Dale Shaw, the church's pastor of local outreach. College Park raised $25,000 in its three services Sunday and is sending volunteers to help.

Indiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is organizing other groups across the region through the state's Office of Faith-Based Initiatives.

The Brownsburg Kroger store is teaming up with WKLU-FM (101.9) starting at 6 a.m. today to take donated items

Andy Mohr Automotive Group: Accepting material donations for the Salvation Army.
