Foreclosed and Going Where?

News about the economy is depressing I admit, but we can’t forget that our woes of spending more on gas or groceries doesn’t compare to what happens to the most vulnerable among us. There is a whole new breed of homeless created by the foreclosure crisis. Nearly 61% of local and state homeless coalitions say they've seen a rise in homelessness since the foreclosure crisis began in 2007, according to a study released in April by the National Coalition for the Homeless. This same study looked at where people stay after losing their homes. USA Today reported on it earlier this summer. Check it out at http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/housing/2008-06-25-homeless-families-foreclosure_N.htm#chart.
