I am so excited about the Foundation's two upcoming events, with very different flavor for each. Next week on October 8th we'll host our 2nd annual Oktoberfest celebration at the Rathskeller (corner of New Jersey and Michigan). The entertainment will be worth the $5 admission, for it is a display of our own talent--MIBOR's Got Talent with your host Greg Cooper. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation and our fight against homelessness.

Just a week later, on October 16, the Foundation Board of Directors will announce its 2009 grant recipients and its largest grant total yet. We are so pleased to announce that our guest speaker will be David Sleppy, photographic author of No One Sees Me. He'll tell us a little about the book's subjects--anonymous homeless folks from around the country. He has graciously agreed to donate a portion of book sales back to the Foundation as well.
